Through My Lense Photography Awarded Turning Wheels Magazine Cover

I received some great news recently.  The Editor of Turning Wheels Magazine has accepted and published my image of Scott Youngs 1953 Studebaker Commander Regal Skyliner Hardtop as the back cover for Turning Wheels Magazine 2014 February edition.

This magazine is very well know within the Studebaker community and is distributed world wide.

The Stude

This Saturday I did a photo session with a 1953 Studebaker Commander.  This is  a great American classic car.  I did the shoot from a number of angles and also processed some  into HDR "High Dynamic Range" images.  Using a park as the backdrop this car really shined just like a model doing a shoot.  Showing off all her curves and lines.  This car also took the "Sponsor's Choice Award"  Congrats to Scott Young on a well deserved trophy! Hacker Family Shoot

I had the pleasure this last weekend to take the family photos for the Hacker family.  The kids were a ball of fire so yours truly had to keep up with the little Hackers.  All in all we captured some great images.  I have been approached to do a photo shoot of the whole family in the future so I am looking forward to that..

More about me..

In this post I have decided to tell you a little background on my photography.  I first started shooting film in the 1980's with a Minotal XD11.  I did wedding photography and landscape.  As I grew in my photography I started to take images of models and then to family, maternity, and most recently (HDR) which stands for High Dynamic Range Photography.

I am proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and the Nik family of products.  My camera is Fuji X Pro 1 along with Fujicon Lenes.

Most if not all of the landscape and motorized vehicles images on my "Through My Lense Photography" website have been processed as HDR's.

Welcome to our Blog

After many trials and tribulations... I finally made the commitment to design a website and a Blog.  I am using Smugmug as my web host and Google Blogger for my blog posting. I have a very good friend Robert Wade, who is an excellent website developer.  He will be helping me customize both my website and my blog.
This blog will tell you a little bit more about myself and my work. It will also be a place where I will post pertinent information and also a variety of images I have taken.  I hope you enjoy the ride.
